The Ramparts of Ice is getting one more look past its last page. The official account for the series announced on X that an official fan book for Kōcha Agasawa's original manga goes on sale in Japan on January 4, 2027, and it includes a newly drawn episode set after the manga's final chapter.

That second part is the headline for me. The manga wrapped up in 2025 after starting life as a vertical-scroll webtoon and later running to 14 volumes, so any new pages from Agasawa are a rare treat. An epilogue that picks up after the ending, rather than a side story slotted somewhere in the middle, is exactly what longtime readers have been asking for.

The timing makes sense too. Season 2 of the TV anime has been streaming on Netflix since October, which means a lot of English-speaking viewers are meeting this cast for the first time right now. The fan book was first teased in early October, and the January date only became official at the end of the month.

Japan also has a dedicated Ramparts of Ice exhibition on the way, with a new key visual drawn by Agasawa herself, which is the art you see above. It opens at Shibuya Modi in Tokyo from November 28 to December 13, 2026, then moves to Namba Marui in Osaka from February 6 to 21, 2027.

No English edition of the fan book has been announced yet, and I wouldn't hold my breath for a quick one, since fan books rarely get licensed fast. If you're caught up on the anime and curious about where these four end up, the epilogue alone may be worth an import.

You can follow the anime on its anime.day page.
