Romelia War Chronicle Is a Split-Cour Anime: Part II Returns in April 2027 With a Hiro Shimono Ending
The official site confirms the second cour airs from April 2027 in Japan, and Hiro Shimono sings its new ending theme.

If you have been watching Rome build her army every Monday this season, here is the news I was hoping not to hear and also kind of expected: Romelia War Chronicle is a split-cour show. The official site confirmed on October 31 that the second cour starts airing in April 2027, so the current run wraps up for the winter and we pick the story back up in spring.
What was announced
- The anime runs in two separate cours, with Part II premiering in April 2027 in Japan
- Hiro Shimono sings the ending theme for Part II
- No exact April date, time slot or streaming details for Part II have been listed yet
Shimono is a fun pick for the ending. He is best known as a voice actor, but he has a long run as a singer too, and having him close out each episode should give the second half a different feel from the first cour's ending, "Nightfall feat. Maika Loubté" by composer KOHTA YAMAMOTO.
Where the show stands now
Part I began streaming in Japan on October 3, 2026 on Anime Times, U-NEXT and Netflix, then started its TV run on October 5 on TOKYO MX, BS11, Sun TV and KBS Kyoto, with CBC joining later. Outside Japan, Crunchyroll has been streaming it since October 3. Atra Cast handles the animation, Koji Saito is series director, Aya Satsuki writes the scripts, and Yuna Nemoto voices Romelia.
My take
A gap from late December to April is not short, but it is a good sign for a story that leans so hard on logistics, politics and slowly growing a fighting force. A clean break gives the staff room to keep Part II looking steady, and it means the first cour gets to end on a real milestone instead of fading out mid-arc. I just hope the April date lands soon.
You can follow the series on its anime.day page, and the announcement is on the official Romelia War Chronicle site.
