Wounds and Bandages Drops Teaser PV 3 and Adds Yuka Iguchi and Yoko Hikasa Ahead of Its January 2027 Debut
The third weekly reveal introduces the Bandage Alliance, with Iguchi and Hikasa joining the cast of the J.C.STAFF romcom premiering January 9, 2027.

Wounds and Bandages is turning its third weekly reveal into a proper roll call. The official site for the TV anime, based on the manga serialized in Kodansha's Gekkan Magazine Kichi, posted a new theme visual and the third teaser PV, titled "Nakama" (Comrades), and confirmed two more cast members.
Meet the Bandage Alliance
The series follows the teenage daughter of a yakuza boss and Kiritani, the gang's young lieutenant who is told to look after her. He expects a quiet kid. What he gets is a girl with a very specific taste: she gets excited watching strong people look weak, a quirk she calls being a "Yowarer." This new teaser introduces the online community she runs for fellow Yowarers, the Bandage Alliance, where she goes by the handle Wamp Samurai.
The two new members are cast with real comedy chops:
- Yuka Iguchi plays Magical Penpengusa.
- Yoko Hikasa plays Matsudaemon.
They join Hisako Kanemoto as the boss's daughter, Chikahiro Kobayashi as Kiritani, and Shoya Ishige as Ginsuke Hatoba. In her comment, Hikasa says she can barely hold back laughter during recording, and Iguchi calls the sessions even funnier than the manga. The teaser also teases Kiritani wondering out loud whether he is becoming a Yowarer himself, which sounds like the start of a lovely disaster.
When to watch
Wounds and Bandages premieres on January 9, 2027, in the ANiMAZiNG!!! block on ABC TV and TV Asahi stations across Japan. The official site lists an AT-X advance airing on Saturdays at 23:00 and the earliest stream on ABEMA on Saturdays at 26:30 JST. Miyuki Ishida directs, Susumu Yamakawa writes the scripts, Natsuki Oyama designs the characters, and J.C.STAFF animates.
The four-week reveal ends on November 6 with a key visual and full PV, and that is when we finally hear the cast in character. If the joke lands as well on screen as it does on the page, this could be one of the strangest and funniest romcoms of the winter. Details are on the official site's news post.
