Reincarnated as a Sword II Sails Into the Seedrun Arc With Key Visual 2, PV 3 and New Cast
Episode 6 opens the Seedrun arc: Fran and Teacher guard Philias royals Fult and Satia and get pulled into a sea nation throne struggle.
Reincarnated as a Sword II is changing course, and the new arc already looks like a step up in scale. The official site has posted a second key visual, a third PV and an introduction for the Seedrun arc, which starts with episode 6. ABEMA streamed that episode in Japan on November 5, ahead of its Tokyo MX broadcast.
Where Fran and Teacher are headed
After the Floating Island dungeon, Fran and her talking sword Teacher reach the port town of Dars, sniff out an illegal slave trade and free the captive children. Two of them turn out to be royalty: Fult and Satia, the prince and princess of the small Kingdom of Philias. Fran agrees to guard them on a sea voyage to the merchant city of Barbola, but trouble at sea forces the ship into the island nation of Seedrun, where a tyrant rules and the throne is up for grabs. The twins become targets, and the arc also brings in a mysterious "divine sword". Given what Teacher is, I'm very curious where that thread goes.
New cast for the arc
- Satsuki Kokubu as Fult
- Yurie Kozakai as Satia
- Hazuki Ogino as Miriam
- Sayumi Suzushiro as Sellimea
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Valuza
The new key visual puts Fran front and center, surrounded by the arc's new faces, and the third PV leans hard into the move from dungeon crawling to palace intrigue.
Catching up
For viewers in Japan, ABEMA runs a free marathon of episodes 1 to 5 on November 8, followed by a special with Shinichiro Miki (Teacher) and Ai Kakuma (Fran) looking back at the first arc, and then a free airing of episode 6. If you watch outside Japan, HIDIVE is streaming the season as it airs, so this is a good week to jump back in.
More on the season is on the official Reincarnated as a Sword II site, and the series page is on anime.day.
