Mashle season 3 comes to Crunchyroll in January 2027, and the Divine Visionary exam is finally on

Good news if you were worried about where to watch it: Crunchyroll confirmed on October 28 that it will stream Mashle: Magic and Muscles season 3 when it premieres in January 2027. The new season carries the subtitle The Tri-Magicathlon Divine Visionary Final Exam Arc, and it will be available worldwide except Japan and China.

What this season covers

The title says it all. This is the stretch of Hajime Komoto's manga where Mash's plan to become a Divine Visionary stops being a running joke and turns into a real exam with real stakes. For anyone who only knows the anime, it's the point where the story starts heading toward its finish line. The manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from January 2020 to July 2023 across 18 volumes, so there isn't a huge amount of road left after this.

Who's making it

According to Crunchyroll, most of the core team stays put at A-1 Pictures:

• Director: Tomonari Tanaka
• Series composition: Yosuke Kuroda
• Music: Masaru Yokoyama
• Character design: Chiaki Kozumi, taking over from Hisashi Higashijima

That last change is the one I'm most curious about. Kozumi worked as a sub-character designer on Solo Leveling, which leans much harder into sharp, heavy action. Mash punching his way through magic duels with a bit of that energy could be a fun mix, as long as the deadpan comedy survives.

Before January

There's no exact premiere date yet, just the month. Both earlier seasons are on Crunchyroll now, so this is a good window to catch up or rewatch the exam setup before the new episodes land. You can also keep an eye on the Mashle page on anime.day for the series details.
