No-Clipping My Way to Supremacy! Anime Adds Seven Cast Members and Reveals Staff

The anime adaptation of No-Clipping My Way to Supremacy! just got a lot more crowded. The official site revealed seven new cast members on October 29, along with character visuals and the core staff behind the 2027 TV series.

If you haven't met this one yet: Henri is a kid working dungeons to pay for medicine for his sick younger sister. His only skill is a supposedly useless "Evade," which gets him mocked as a permanent level 1 and kicked out of his party. Then he notices that Evade lets him slip straight through dungeon walls, which means he can grab first-clear rewards over and over without fighting the bosses. It is a glitch-exploit fantasy, and honestly that premise is the whole hook.

The new cast

• Auroia, the "Witch of Garabozo" and a senior adventurer who looks out for Henri: Nao Ojika
• Don, the town's weapon smith: Kengo Tsujii
• Guillermo, the party leader who bullies Henri: Tatsuhisa Suzuki
• Scarlett: Anna Yamaki
• Latch: Shun Horie
• Maris: Ayasa Ito
• Volks: Hinata Tadokoro

Tatsuhisa Suzuki as the guy everyone loves to hate feels like a smart bit of casting, and Nao Ojika as the big-sister mentor fits the character description the site gives Auroia.

Who is making it

Animation is a joint production between Durandal and Tengu Kobo, with Yuichi Imaizumi as sound director. The site also lists the director, series composer and composer, and posted comments from each of them alongside the cast comments.

The source is the manga serialized on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket, adapted from the original novel by Nikita Kitagawa, and the series has passed one million copies in circulation. There is no premiere month yet, only 2027.

My take: wall-clip exploits are a very gamer-brained idea for a fantasy show, and the fun will depend on whether the anime leans into the comedy of breaking its own world's rules. I'll be watching for the first full trailer.
