Vanguard is getting a clean slate. The franchise's official account has confirmed Cardfight!! Vanguard Veil Lift, which it describes as a completely new TV anime for 2027, and it dropped a short announcement teaser alongside the news.
What we actually know
Right now the list is short, and I'd rather be upfront about that than pad it out:
- Title: Cardfight!! Vanguard Veil Lift
- Format: an all-new TV anime, not a continuation arc
- Timing: 2027, with no season or month given yet
- Next update: a dedicated production presentation on December 7, teased with a simple "12.7 STAND UP" graphic
Studio, cast, staff and streaming plans have not been announced, so anything you see beyond the points above is guesswork until December.
Why this one is worth watching
For anyone outside Japan, Vanguard can feel like a lot of homework. The anime has stacked up series after series since 2011. A "completely new" series reads like the natural jumping-on point the franchise has needed for international viewers, and the "Veil Lift" name certainly leans into the idea of revealing something fresh.
