Haruhi Suzumiya Teams Up With Sanrio for New Collab Merch and a Pastel SOS Brigade Visual
Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, My Melody and friends pair up with the SOS Brigade in a new collab visual, with goods details still to come.

The SOS Brigade is teaming up with Sanrio, and honestly, I did not have that on my 2026 bingo card. The official Haruhi Suzumiya account on X announced that a line of collaboration merchandise pairing the series with the Sanrio characters is officially happening, and shared the first collab visual.
Who is paired with whom
The art lines up all five Brigade members in their North High uniforms, each holding a Sanrio partner, with chibi versions of the pairs running along the bottom. From what I can see in the visual:
- Haruhi gets Hello Kitty, which feels right for the self-declared center of the universe.
- Kyon is paired with Kuromi, a mischievous partner for the series' most tired narrator.
- Yuki Nagato holds Cinnamoroll, quietly, of course.
- Mikuru Asahina has a fluffy pink sheep that looks like My Sweet Piano.
- Itsuki Koizumi, smiling as always, gets My Melody.
The Sanrio characters also wear little touches of Haruhi's style, like her orange hair ribbon on Kitty. The pastel color blocks behind each pair make the whole thing look like a sticker sheet waiting to happen.
What we know and what we don't
Right now the announcement covers the visual and the fact that products are coming. The post says release dates and other details will follow, so there is no item list, price, or store yet. I'll be watching to see whether any of it is sold outside Japan, since Sanrio collabs often start as domestic store or online lottery items.
The timing is fun, too. Sanrio just confirmed Kuromi's first starring anime movie for 2027, so she is having quite the week. For a series that turned 20 as an anime in 2026, seeing Haruhi pop up in fresh merch lines is a nice sign that the Brigade still has pull. You can see the visual in the official announcement on X.
