Pole Princess!! -Croix du Nord- Hits Six Japanese Theaters Jan 29, 2027 With a New Character

Pole Princess!! fans, mark your calendars: a brand-new CG pole dance show is heading to Japanese theaters. The official site has confirmed Pole Princess!! -Croix du Nord- (read as "Croix du Nord"), a roughly 60-minute feature that runs for two weeks only starting Friday, January 29, 2027.

Built around the new album

This one is a showcase for the five new songs from the Shining Pole Song Album, which came out on February 18, 2026. Each one gets fresh choreography and is woven into a new story, so it's more than a concert reel.

After the heat of the Pole Dance Japan Cup, the four members of Galaxy Princess are more hooked on the sport than ever and are even trying an unfamiliar apparatus called the Lyra Pole. Then Yukari Mikoshiro, the reigning champion, calls with an offer: a guest spot on a stage hosted by her own team. While the two groups grow closer, a stranger turns up at Azumi's studio.

Meet Ruchika Himeori

That stranger is the new character Ruchika Himeori, designed by original character designer Tomari. The official profile only says she seems to have some deep connection to Azumi and suddenly appears in front of Hinano and the others. Her voice actor hasn't been named yet. I love that the reveal landed on Azumi's birthday, October 30.

Where and who

The screenings are limited to six theaters: Sapporo Cinema Frontier, Shinjuku Wald 9, Yokohama Burg 13, Midland Square Cinema, T-Joy Umeda and T-Joy Hakata. Since it's a limited event run, there are no advance tickets.

Tatsunoko Production handles the animation. Hitomi Ezoe directs, with Toko Machida on the script, Yoshihiro Otobe as CG director and Kenta Higashioji on music. The cast includes Rio Tsuchiya, Anna Suzuki, Yui Ogura, Minami Hinata, Yoshino Nanjo, Rina Hidaka, Saori Hayami and Rie Kugimiya.

Six screens is a tiny footprint, so I'm hoping for a streaming or overseas plan later. For now, you can revisit the franchise on its anime.day page.
