My Happy Marriage Becomes a Takarazuka Revue Musical in 2027, Starring Sea Towaki and Misaki Hoshizora
Takarazuka Revue Flower Troupe stages My Happy Marriage in Hyogo from June 26 and Tokyo from August 28, 2027. Here are the dates and cast.

My Happy Marriage is getting one of the most elegant stage adaptations I can imagine. The Takarazuka Revue confirmed on its official site that its Flower Troupe will perform a musical version of Akumi Agitogi's novels in summer and autumn 2027.
Dates and venues
- Takarazuka Grand Theater (Hyogo): June 26 to August 8, 2027, with general ticket sales opening June 5
- Tokyo Takarazuka Theater: August 28 to October 10, 2027, with general sales opening August 1
Sea Towaki leads as Kiyoka Kudo, the soldier rumored to be cold and merciless, and Misaki Hoshizora plays Miyo Saimori, the young woman raised under her stepmother's cruelty who arrives at his house as a bride. Daisuke Tabuchi writes and directs. The Revue bills it as a "musical kitan", a tale of the strange, which fits a story full of supernatural gifts and court intrigue.
Why this pairing works
Takarazuka has a long history of turning period romances into lavish productions, and My Happy Marriage already lives in a dreamy, Meiji and Taisho inspired world of uniforms, kimono and cherry blossoms. The announcement also says the plot will reach the secret behind Miyo's birth and a conspiracy shaking the imperial capital, so this looks like more than a retelling of the first volume's slow-burn romance.
The musical shares the bill with a revue show, MANHATTAN FOLLIES -Seize The Day-, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Takarazuka revue format in 2027. The Grand Theater run is also where the troupe's 113th class makes its stage debut.
For international fans who met Miyo and Kiyoka through the anime on Netflix, the franchise has now passed 10 million copies in circulation, including manga and e-books, according to the Revue. You can read the official Takarazuka Revue announcement, and the anime's page is on anime.day.
