Free Fire: Daybreak Anime Will Premiere Episode 1 at CCXP26 in Brazil on December 5
KADOKAWA and Garena bring the first episode of the spring 2027 anime to Sao Paulo, with a producer panel and a live set by DJ Alok.

Here is a premiere plan I did not see coming: the very first episode of Free Fire: Daybreak, the TV anime based on Garena's hugely popular mobile game, will be shown to the public in São Paulo, Brazil, months before it reaches TV and streaming. KADOKAWA, which co-produces the series with Garena, confirmed on October 30 that the world premiere screening takes place at CCXP26 on December 5.
What is planned at CCXP26
- A world premiere screening of episode 1 on December 5, during CCXP26 (December 3 to 6 at São Paulo Expo)
- A talk panel with the project's producers on how the anime was made, plus the latest news
- DJ Alok, who has been a playable character in the game for years, joins the panel to talk about his guest appearance in episode 1 and his work on the music, then plays a live set on the Omelete stage
- A Free Fire booth with activities themed on the game and the anime, with details still to come
The series so far
Free Fire: Daybreak is set in New Dawn, a near-future city run by the Horizon Corporation. Its lead, Kelly, goes looking for the truth about her lost past and the company's talent program. Ken Takahashi directs at studio CANDYBOX, Hotaru Asafuji handles series composition and scripts, and Koji Fujimoto of Sus4 Inc. writes the score. The anime is planned for spring 2027 worldwide.
Why Brazil makes sense
Free Fire's biggest fan bases are in South America and South and Southeast Asia, so opening in São Paulo instead of Tokyo is a smart nod to the people who made the game a giant. It also says a lot about where anime audiences are growing. If you can't be at CCXP, the official KADOKAWA announcement is the place to start, and I'll be watching for first reactions from the screening.
