Drama Queen Manga Has Four Chapters Left, Creator Kuraku Ichikawa Says
Kuraku Ichikawa says the Shonen Jump+ manga Drama Queen ends in four more chapters, with about two big developments still to come.

Drama Queen is heading into its final stretch. Creator Kuraku Ichikawa posted on the official X account that the manga has four chapters left until the finale, and she shared a fresh illustration to mark the moment, the one you see at the top of this post.
The note was short but telling. Ichikawa said everything they wanted to draw has been drawn, that there are roughly two more big developments still to come, and that the threads will connect before the end. and simply asked readers to look forward to it. For a series that has never been shy about pulling the rug out from under us, "two more developments" in four chapters sounds like a lot of ground to cover, and I mean that as a compliment.
If you haven't read it yet, here's the setup. Drama Queen launched on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ in December 2024, and it is also available in English on MANGA Plus. It takes place in a Japan where aliens who once saved Earth now live side by side with humans. Nomamoto is a factory worker stuck under an abusive alien boss, and everything changes after a run-in with Kitami, a man whose family was killed by aliens. What starts as a grim workplace story turns into something much stranger and much more personal about resentment, coexistence and who gets to call themselves a victim.
Volume 7 came out in Japan on September 4, so a final collected volume should follow once the serialization wraps.
I'll admit I didn't expect the end to come this soon, but I respect a creator who knows exactly where the story stops. Four chapters is about a month of Jump+ updates if the schedule holds, which makes now a good time to catch up from the start. Are you hoping for a hopeful ending, or do you think Ichikawa has one last gut punch waiting for us?
