Hirayasumi Anime Taps TOMOO for Its Ending Theme Ahead of January 2027 Premiere

Some anime news is loud. This one is quiet in the best way, which suits Hirayasumi perfectly. The official site for the TV adaptation of Keigo Shinzo's manga confirmed today that singer-songwriter TOMOO will perform the ending theme, a song called "Fumizekka".

A good match for a gentle show

If you haven't read it, Hirayasumi follows Hiroto Ikuta, a 29-year-old part-timer with no steady job, no partner and, remarkably, no worries about any of it. Thanks to his easygoing kindness, an elderly neighbor leaves him her old one-story house, and life in Tokyo's Asagaya and Koenji neighborhoods slowly fills up with people who are a lot more anxious than he is, including his art-student cousin Natsumi.

That kind of story lives or dies on mood, and TOMOO feels like a smart pick. The official announcement points to her tie-ins with the Blue Box anime, a Crayon Shin-chan film and TV drama work, and she plays her first arena tour in Kanagawa and Osaka this month. Her warm, piano-led songwriting is exactly what I'd want rolling over the credits after a slow summer afternoon on Hiroto's porch.
